Handle your hat by its brim and not by its crown. Always rest your hat upside down on its crown; or on a suitable hook or hat stand. Don't leave your hat in a hot car or near to a heater. Heat exposure will shrink the interior sweatband. Use a lint roller to remove specs or animal hair from your wool felt hat. Use a soft-bristle brush; in a counterclockwise direction to remove dust or light marks. We recommend not wearing your wool felt hat in the rain. This is to keep it in shape. Support the brim and crown of your hat in acid-free tissue paper in a sturdy hat box placed somewhere cool and dry. Our top tip is to throw in a silica gel packet to keep things dry and lavender soap to deter fish moths.
